As-salaamo Alaikum wa rahmatullah

Significance of knowledge in general and Islamic knowledge in particular has been well-documented by the Holy Quran and the divinely-appointed infallible guides (a.s.). Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (a.s.), in order to stress upon the absolute necessity of acquiring knowledge said, "I would rather like my companions to be flogged on their heads so that they may (be compelled to) acquire religious knowledge."

In another tradition Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (AS) has said, "Acquire knowledge of religious jurisprudence. Any one among you who does not become efficient in religious jurisprudence is a rustic. Allah in His Holy Book says, "Let them devote themselves to studies in religion and admonish their comrades when they return to them so that they may guard themselves against evil." (Surah Taubah (9): Verse 121).

After reading the above traditions and numerous other similar ones, one is encouraged to seek knowledge. But the moot question is: How does one acquire knowledge? For worldly education, there are schools, colleges and universities, and for those who find it difficult to attend these institutes physically, there are virtual options as well.

Likewise, there was always a need to have an online university of Islamic education to make the knowledge of the Holy Quran and the Ahle bait (a.s.) available to all and sundry.

While there are many sources of acquiring knowledge such as listening to lectures, reading books etc. there was always a vacuum of a systematic structured approach to religious knowledge. This vacuum can be filled only by a tried, tested and successful education system.

Association of Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) has been working with people of various age groups over the last 40 years under the guidance of various Islamic Scholars and has successfully created a structured form of Islamic education. There are courses for various age groups and taught by experienced faculties in lucid form. The course material is organized/arranged by renowned scholars with the help of Quranic verses and traditions of the infallible guides (a.s.) and approved by the office of His Eminence Grand Ayatullah Sayed Ali Husaini Sistani (d.z.a.). Al-Muntazar Islamic Academy has its own grading system to help students assess their progress.

All the online lectures are prepared by faculties who have been teaching these courses for 20 years and above.

Al-Muntazar Academy is now open to all the ardent seekers of Islamic knowledge.
